The picture frame is complete! I did end up finishing the frame with General Finish Arm-R-Seal - it's my "go to" finish for all my furniture. It's easy to apply, and holds up extremely well. I apply it using a blue shop rag or old T-shirt.

I was also got around to fixing my sons Monster Beatle R/C car. I used to spend countless hours building and repairing R/C cars as a teenager. It might be premature for me to get my 5 year old son this type of car, but hey, I'm trying to relive my youth through my children! The fix I needed to perform was quite trivial. I had to apply some threadlock to the screw that attaches the steering control arms to the servo. I had to do the same thing to the pinion gear on the motor. Those parts endure a huge amount of vibration during operation. The threadlock prevents the screws from backing out.
