Entry Hall Table
This entry hall table, which can also be considered a sofa table, was inspired by Mokuzai Furniture. I've created two of these tables thus far. The one displayed to the left is the one that is permanently displayed in our entry hall. It is made of a combination of cherry with a secondary wood of maple.
The second table I constructed was for my daughter's preschool auction. It was purchased by a very appreciative family, who has also purchased a Kid's Workbench from me in this past years auction.
I love the simple yet elegant look of this table.
If you're wondering, I also built the mirror and the picture reflected in the mirror. The mirror was built right around the same time as the table, while the picture is probably 18 years old (give or take a couple years). If memory serves the mirror is constructed out of a birch frame. I also cut all the matting and glass for that project.
I get all my mirrors from Denver Glass Interiors. Their pricing and quality are second to none, at least that I could tell, for the Denver market.
